Apparently everything that happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas for Lizzie and Ben as they find out she is pregnant from the one night stand they shared after Ben promised band mate Mal that he would not go near his new sister-in-law. What happens when the pregnancy progresses and Mal finds out Ben cannot keep his promise to him for even one night…?

This book brings to end the Stage Dive Quartet. I think my heart is absolutely breaking as I write this. I love this series. From the first chapter of Lick: Stage Dive 1, I have been hooked. I have read all four books more than once. I love Scott’s writing and storytelling that much. The plot’s flow and enough twists and turns to be interesting without so many that the story is bogged down. The characters are well developed and I feel like they are family. I am going to miss the Stage Dive characters very much. Right about now I am wishing there was a piano player as I am sure you will be after you say good bye to the band in this fabulous but still the end, novel. At least I can reread them when I am missing them ;-)

Best thing about books ever! Also, another great thing about this series, they are each standalone. If you are they lucky reader who has not been introduced to any of the Stage Dive Novels, you are in a treat and can read them in order, out of order, just read them. I cannot recommend them enough for the super-hot lead males, the great steamy sexy parts and the super make you want to cry romantic parts. These are adult romance so parents be aware and make a choice.

Are the Stage Dive Novels, Deep, in particular for you? You want a leading men hot, love scenes the steamier the better, heroines strong, characters like family, a great plot, and a book that makes you need to turn the page to get to the ending. If this is you, these are the books for you!

Can Toni break free from her demanding family, full of prodigies, she usually cares for while finding a career separate from the Jean-Louis Parker jackals lives?  Will Ricky Lee Reed be able to keep Toni safe while she performs her new job long enough for him to convince her she should be his mate, once he admits it to himself…?

This is book eight in the pride series and I am slightly disappointed in this one. I am giving it a 4 out of 5 for a couple of reasons. It seems that the romance between Toni and Ricky Lee is almost an afterthought compared to the rest of the series couples. Another problem that I have with this novel is that the plot is all over the place and seems to be too ambitious. There are too many things going on that the love story of Toni and Ricky got lost somewhere.

It still has all the great characters from the Pride Series, well written and witty parts you come to expect from Laurenston.  I think it just has too many past character interaction. I would have liked to see more of the sexy naughty bits between Ricky Lee and Toni. And, yes, there can be too much intrigue to distract from the main story. Maybe even some less in depth in the Jean-Louis Parker siblings. Perhaps it is important to future storylines, but I would like to have seen less here and maybe more in the future if necessary. It just felt forced into the plot. These two major exceptions for me kept it from being the 5 I would like to have given a novel in a series I have completely love and would recommend. I still recommend this book, I am just saying it is not the best book in the series. Who knows, you may be just fine with my pick observations and will find it just perfect. It is still a good read. This novel could work as a standalone.

Are you into shifter novels? Have you followed the Pride series? Do you want your romance to be witty and smart? Do you like steamy sexy adult romance novels? This is your novel then.

Review:

Can Melissa forgive Tarian not telling of his Necromancy even after saving her from his grandfather’s evil plan…or is it too much even for mates?

Even though this is the second Fated Match novel; it is a standalone and I rate it 4 ½ on my rating scale. If you missed the first book Love at Stake (Entangled Covet) (Fated Match), you can easily go back and read it as it is also very good. The writing is engaging from the beginning of the book and I could not wait to finish it. The plot is unusual and has some interesting twists and turns. I like that Melissa is allowed to be a strong character and is allowed to see she might still love someone in spite of their issues loving her. It has some wickedly funny lines in it that make it fun to read also.

The characters are allowed to grow throughout the book and progress making them appealing and some even quirky. Previous characters you get enough information on them that you did not need to read about their story to make it necessary to this story to read. You will have to read to the end to see if all is forgiven or mates go their separate ways. It does have some steamy adult sex scenes in it also, so parents you make the call.

Is this novel for you? You think the vampires and necromancers are dead sexy. You like sexy steamy adult romance. You believe we all can get along, even vampires and necromancers. This might be just for you.

Will Presley’s need to please everyone translate into the proper submissive relationship in Club Sin? Can Dmitri show Presley that she needs only to please him for their Dom/sub relationship to work?

This is the great start to a new BDSM series Club Sin that I rate 5 stars. It is definitely an adult novel with adult subject matter that does have explicit and hot sex scenes between dominants and submissives. The story is well written and has some interesting plot twists, but not so many that is goes off track. The characters are well developed and you learn how both are introduced to the world of BDSM.

It is a very fast read as it had my attention and kept it from the beginning of the book. Once again parents, this is adult themed, so you make the choice. I love that Dmitri expects Presley to only be submissive and willing to please him in their D/s relationship and no one else, which is freeing to her as she no longer needs to try to please everyone. He also shows how she was taken advantage of by another who misused her need to please. I highly recommend if this is your type of adult reading pleasure. I cannot wait to get to book 2, Bared: A Club Sin Novel (Club Sin series Book 2) by Stacey Kenned.

Is this novel for you? You believe that a novel with BDSM can be romantic. You like plenty of adult kink in your novel. You like that a sub can have spunk other places than in the D/s role. You like that a Dom can separate his world from a place to be a dominant and a place to let it go. Then this is a good place to start a series it sounds like for you too.

In the wake of her failed marriage, Maddy finds Rhys to be the man she can count on while turning the Lumbar Baron into a hotel, but will she fall apart when he goes back to Houston? Will Rhys be able to leave Maddy and his new found sister and brother and turn down the police chief position in Nugget for the Lieutenant’s position in Houston?

This debut novel is a 4 ½ star beginning to the start of a new series A Nugget Romance that takes place in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, in Nugget, California. In Book 1, we find Maddy Breyer and her brother restoring a Victorian Mansion to become a Hotel and Rhys Shepard coming back from Houston to become the temporary Chief of Police. As the remodel occurs, Maddy needs a place to stay and Rhys just happens to have an empty duplex to lease to her whilst he takes care of his father’s future medical necessities.

The plot is well written and keeps your interest. The characters are likable. Hopefully as future novels take place some of the backgrounds of the other players in Nugget will fill in as their story is told. Maddy and Rhys were rounded out to a good degree and have given the town a basis to start a series. I wish there were more on Sam and Lina. I do like that you will have to read to the very end to fill in some of the questions you will have when reading. I love even more that there is not a life or death cliff hanger. Do not get me wrong, I want to read the next book, Finding Hope: A Nugget Romance Book 2. I will read it, it just did not take a life or death cliffhanger, it took a good first book.

Is this novel for you? Do you like a strong woman? Can you take a little violence as it has a super hot police chief as a male lead? Do you want sad with your happy, not necessarily in that order? Do you like a little steamy adult action? Do you loved to get hooked on series romance? This romance just might be for you!

After watching every romance her mother ever had fall apart Lorelei does not believe in love. After the first night Kaden knows he wants more from Lorelei, but can he get past her jaded heart and give her the love he has for her…?

This second novella in the Oak Hollow series is just as good as the first one and deserves 5 stars. I also love the fact that Lorelei is more confident in her own skin and does not regard herself as fat where others might according to her. Applause to Ms. Stevens for letting Lorelei be comfortable with herself and confident in her sexuality, even to open the door in only a towel and then call Kaden to find her waiting naked on her bed! Go Lorelei!

I love that Stevens makes Kaden strong enough to take sex off the table to allow them to get to know each other better as Lorelei is fine with sex and not so good with the feelings part of the relationship. The sexy pediatrician even takes care of her when she gets sick with a summer cold. Trouble comes when he wants to move the relationship further and move in together. To find out more you have to read the rest of the book. It is worth it. They are both stubborn and sparks fly and Stevens leaves us to the end to see how and if they resolve their issues. I highly recommend this plus size romance for those of you who believe love comes in all sizes.

Will you want to read this book? Do you believe plus sizes are sexy, women can be afraid of relationships and men can fall in love almost at first sight, or you want to believe.  You think people can grow and change and men can be both super sexy and romantic or you want to think so… Then this one is right up your alley. Oh, it helps if you like men in kilts with nothing underneath. Did I mention adult fun…?

Will Thea make an exception to her no dating clients rule after the super-hot memo David writes her about why they should date and risk losing her heart to the sexy drummer of Schoolboy Choir? Does David have the patience to allow Thea to learn to trust him after the treatment of her ex-fiancĂ© and the fact there are fans that surround the band and that worries her in the beginning…

This second novella in the Rock Kiss series is just as good as the first novel and I give it 5 stars. It takes place at the same time as the first book and is a standalone if you have not read the first one that is fine. You can read this and then go back and catch Rock Addicted: Rock Kiss (Volume 1). This novella focuses on the drummer, David and the owner of the band’s public relations firm, Thea. David is madly in love with Thea and she will not give him the time of day as she does not date client’s, meanwhile, Molly, her step-sister, is dating the lead singer Fox. Molly advises David to memo Thea the reasons why they should date, so he does. Thus the games begin and Thea starts to fall for David’s mind. So starts the beginning of a sexy, witty, funny plot.

The budding romance is embraced by the band and family alike. As with all good plots there is something to throw a wrench into the happy works. Neither David nor Thea react the way the other wishes they would react to the given situation creating quite a bit of drama. Having to wait to the end of the novel to see the resolution of the situation and what will become of David and Thea is what is great about the book and one of the rewards of reading it. It is a fast read as you want to know what happens and want to see what happens next between the memos, the lovemaking, the drama, the ending. Oooh, the ending, it is a good thing that the next novel is available. This series is addicting! See you after Rock Hard: Rock Kiss Book 2.

Is this novel for you? Yes, if you like a great romance novel with a sexy lead male and a strong female that can stand up to anyone or anything. If you like well-developed characters and romance with a high chance of series addiction and heart melting memos that will make you want to find your own David or Thea!

Can Ellie get past the secret that Jake has kept from her for over a year after their one-night stand and turn it into something more as she secretly desires, or will it forever tear them apart and take away her reason to stay…

As the first novel in a new series, this is a great start and deserves a 5. The plot is well thought out and has enough interesting twists without having too many as to confuse the storyline. Both Jake and Ellie seemed to be fleshed out throughout the novel becoming complex characters. There is plenty of heat in the sex and romance department with the off the charts chemistry between Ellie and Jake that finally erupts in their encounter. Leaving the question of whether Jake can convince Ellie he is no longer a lady killer and wants a relationship with just one woman…

I like the idea that Ellie is not a skinny wraith, however, I wish she would not be hard on herself and call herself fat for wearing a size 20. I also wish that she would not get after Jake for carrying her and telling him she would hurt him. Good for Jake and Stevens that he tells Ellie that he can carry her just fine.

So, is this book for you? If you like your romance novels full of adult sexy fun, you like it when the plus size girl has a good time with the sexy guy, characters can step outside their comfort zone and go with the flow, the author makes you work to the very end to know how it’s going to end. If you said yes, then this one’s for you.

Jennifer Dawson's Crave Tour

Crave
Undone Book 1
by Jennifer Dawson
Releasing June 1st, 2015

I vow. I crave. I give in.

I used to be a nice, normal girl.  I had dreams.  Good, happy dreams of white picket fences, 2.5 kids, and a fairytale love that lasts forever.  Nobody warned me the prince dies three weeks before the wedding.

Like any addict, I swear this time is the last….

Now, I go through my days, a shadow of my former self. I pretend I’m okay, and the people in my life pretend to believe me.  But, sometimes, when I can no longer stand the craving my dead fiancĂ©e left behind, I roam an underground sex club looking for my next hit.  It’s dirty and wrong, but I can’t stop, and my only line of defense between them and me, is the rules I’ve designed to keep me safe. With free, no-strings attached sex; men always abide by my rules. Until I meet him.

And, like any addict, I’m wrong.

I don’t question the instincts that tell me to run.  One look at him, standing there, power radiating off him in waves, tells me all I need to know.  He will make me forget.  And that’s not an option

Jennifer Dawson grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and graduated from DePaul University with a degree in psychology. She met her husband at the public library while they were studying. To this day she still maintains she was NOT checking him out. Now, over twenty years later they’re married living in a suburb right outside of Chicago with two awesome kids and a crazy dog. Despite going through a light FM, poem writing phase in high school, Jennifer never grew up wanting to be a writer (she had more practical aspirations of being an international super spy). Then one day, suffering from boredom and disgruntled with a book she’d been reading, she decided to put pen to paper. The rest, as they say, is history. These days Jennifer can be found sitting behind her computer writing her next novel, chasing after her kids, keeping an ever watchful eye on her ever growing to-do list, and NOT checking out her husband.

An Excerpt from Crave

Eleven P.M.

Two months. Five days. Twenty-one hours.

It’s my new record although I have no sense of accomplishment. No, I’m resigned as I walk down the dark, deserted alley. The heels of my knee-high, black patent boots click against the cracked concrete in echo of my defeat. The distant sounds of the bass thuds in my ears in time to the heavy beat of my heart.

My own personal staccato of failure.

I’m not sure why it’s always a surprise. Maybe because, at first, my conviction is so strong. By now my pattern is long and established—I vow, I crave, I give in.

Rinse. Repeat.

But, like any good addict, I always swear this time is the last.

Of course, I try. My therapist has given me “management tools” to get me through the hard times, and like a good patient, I follow her instructions to a tee—I meditate, do yoga, and write all my crappy feelings in the journal she insists I keep.

Only, it’s backfired and become part of the ritual. When the cycle starts, it’s a matter of time before I end up here.

I’m sure when John brought me to this underground club the first time, he’d never envisioned I’d be back on my own, wandering through the crowds, looking for my next fix. The club reminds me of him, and I wish I could go somewhere else so I wouldn’t be confronted with my betrayal, but I don’t have a choice. There aren’t ads for places like this. Or maybe there are and I don’t know where to look.

Swift and sudden, anger clogs my throat, and for a split second I hate him for changing me so irrevocably, and leaving me so permanently. Fast on the heels of anger, the guilt wells, so powerful it brings a sting of tears to my eyes. In the pockets of my black trench coat, my nails dig crescents into my palms.

I push away the emotions. Exhaling harshly, my breath fogs the air as I spot a hint of the red door that signals both my refuge and my hell. I hear the muffled hum of music that will crescendo once I’m inside to pump through me like a heartbeat.

My pace quickens along with my pulse.

As much as I hate giving in, I can’t deny my relief. Once I step through that door, I don’t have to pretend. I don’t have to be normal.

The tension, riding me all day, distracting me in meetings, making me wander off in the middle of conversations, ebbs. A twisted excitement slicks my thighs as the bare skin under my skirt tingles.

I haven’t bothered with panties. It makes things easier, quicker. Less about getting off and more about taking care of business.

I have on my usual club fare: short, black pleated skirt that leaves a stretch of thigh before my stockings start. A sheer, white silk blouse that’s unbuttoned low enough to show the lace of my red demi-bra. My lips are slicked with crimson and my dark chestnut hair is a tumble of shiny waves down my back.

My outfit is carefully orchestrated. I leave as little to chance as possible.

No leather or latex. I’m not into bondage. Chains and rope do nothing but leave me cold. Once upon a time I loved to be restrained by fingers wrapped tight around my wrists, digging into my skin, but now I can’t handle even a hint of being bound.

I reveal plenty of smooth ivory skin, my clue to guys into body modification or knife play to stay away. I like fear, but not that kind. I want my bruises and scars hidden away, not worn like a badge of honor for the world to see.

My wrists and neck are free of jewelry so the Masters don’t confuse me with a slave girl. I tried that scene once, thinking all their hard play and intense scenes would focus my restless energy and make me forget, but there is no longer anything submissive about me.

I don’t want to obey. I want to fight.

Can Layla rebuild her life again within Michael’s safe care after the death of her fiancĂ© or does it all come crashing in on her again when he suffers an accident on the job…

5+ is what I have to say right off. This is the best book in its genre since 50 Shades of Grey. The plot is diabolically brilliant as we move through a dominate-subordinate relationship. The right amount of back and forth and twists and turns to keep it interesting but not too many to overplay the book. It is romantic while still having the explicit sexual scenes told in a naughty-nice way that keeps you wanting to turn the pages.

I love the way that Dawson presents this kind of relationship as an addiction while being mutually consenting acts between Layla and Michael. Allowing healing for Layla until Michael’s accident. It is the perfect beginning for a new series. I am going to be waiting with baited breathe for the next novel to come out in the series.

Once again parents, this is definitely an adult themed and explicit book, so you can use your own judgement about your readers at home.

Do you want this book? You like your novels the 50 Shades of Grey way, can handle serious and deeper subject matter within your romance, believe that dom-sub relationships can be romantic and love a well written story. If your answer is yes, then this book is for you!

Will Molly let her fear of the press, the past heartache, and her tangle with the shadier side of fame stand in her way with what could be longer than a one-night stand with the Rock star of her dreams Fox? Will Fox convince Molly that they need to extend that to a whole month, the month he will be on the island, with his band…

This is definitely a 5 star start to a new series for Singh. I have hardly left the last page and can hardly wait to pick up the next novella in the series. Fox and Molly left the pages scorching, or at least, my kindle was smoking as the final words were read. This is an adult novel with plenty of heat between the covers of the sheets and the pages. The romance factor is incredible high with a great plot that is witty and sexy in the way you would expect from Singh. I was a little skeptical when I saw the rocker hook as that is being used a bit, but, hey, this is Singh, and it is written well and the storyline is great.

I think the characters are well developed including those ready to step into the next novels and novellas. It is great to see that the aspects of Fox and Molly are not just swept aside when it is not convenient and they can fight about things as long as they come to each other with the issue. They face obstacles together and not just brush them aside as would normal people giving them well defined growth in the book. It is refreshing to see such complex characters, which you can always count on from a Singh novel.

Is this novel for you? Yes, if you like a great romance novel with a sexy lead male and a strong female that can stand up to her man if needed. If you like well-developed characters and romance with some rough spots that must be worked on…and you have to read to the very end to see what will be… If so, then this is for you!

Review

These girls are ones I wish I never read about and found the premise of the plot unbelievable.

This book rates a 1 star for numerous reasons, in fact on my blog it will receive ½ a star. The plot is peopled with undeveloped characters that actually I would not want to know any more about with the current storyline. It is definitely not my idea of a young adult book unless it is a how to be a disgusting human being; as Alex, Molly and even Veronica were lacking in any redeeming qualities. As I would not condone such a book, it only reinforces my opinion of it being not for teens.

It is full of gratuitous sex, not for romance, but more of a disgust factor for me. Sexy hot sex is one thing. Threesomes for sixteen – year - olds is just not something I want to read about especially when it is making both girls feel bad about themselves. I usually leave deciding about sex in books for parents, but this is harmful sexual activity all over the place, not to mention giving someone a roofie. This is just not cool, in light of how the book ends! This gives truth to do not judge a book by its cover because the write up about it gave plenty of undeserved praise. Buyer beware, reader even more so.

Is this novel for you? If you are reading my blog, I hope not.
