Ratings and Recommendations

Rating: 4 1/2 teacups

Recommendation:Yes, Yes

Book Club Worthy: It is going on my list!

Review

Charlie seeks refuge and finds it for a short time as a teacher at the Abbott School. He finds and loses his first love and moves on the best he can until his “perfect” half-brother comes and convalesces and begins to teach as well as his first love at Abbott School. What happens when good intentions go wrong and long held family secrets are let loose…?

If I could I would give this novel 4 ½ stars. It will be getting the deserved rating on my book review blog. There was only one thing that I have an issue with in the book that kept it from becoming a 5 star recommendation. I was left needing to know more about the “golden boy” half-brother. Especially toward the ending. You may be satisfied with what is given, but I feel a little more character depth. Otherwise, I think it is a very good book. The story line is bursting with twists and turns with so many family secrets, love triangles, lies and family secrets that test the very fabric of family by definition.

I really do recommend this book highly, I just did not believe it was above a 4 ½ without more character. LeCraw certainly makes you think and raises some issues that may or may not hit a little too close to home. It was definitely a book I could not put down.
You are going to love this if you are a reader who likes adult topics and some steamy parts, however is a novel that requires reflection, all set in an unusual romance.

Review

What punishment from the Gods/Goddesses does one get from drinking from the waters that give immortal life without their blessings? Perhaps one of those arrogant Gods/Goddesses, you used to conquer cities in their names, needs you to help in a war that has broken out between those same Gods/Goddesses…Dethan is soon to find out.

This is the first in a new series that I easily give a 5. Frank gives her normal, sexy, steamy male lead that has something he needs to do or fix. The strong heroine that is being wronged and only the hero can save her. The plot is great and executed very well. The twist at the ending is perfect and sets up the perfect cliffhanger for the next novel Cursed by Ice, that I am waiting, not too patiently, to be coming in February 2015. It is rare that I do this, however, this book deserves it and I know the information so there is a link below to pre-order Cursed by Ice. I am not letting this series pass me by and I suggest you should not either.

Frank fans, this will be another series you will wait for the next novel with more or less patience. It does have some great sexy, steamy, and incredibly hot romantic scenes and adult language and themes.  After all it was written for the escape and pleasurable reading it was for this adult, and many others, therefore, parents be advised and you decide. If you find that you like this novel, you may want to start one of her other series while waiting for the second book. I suggest you start with Jacob.

Summing up: 5 stars, recommended – yes, adult themes and loves scenes – yes, and not to be missed in my opinion.

Are you interested in reading this book? Frank fans, without a doubt, paranormal adult romance at its best! You like paranormal, steamy hot sex scenes, mystery, suspense, and adult romance than you are going to love this novel
