The Life Intended by Kristin Harmel

The Life Intended

Rating and Recommendation

Rating: 4 1/2 teacups

Recommendations: Yes

Book Club Worthy: Yes, it is going on my book

Review

After twelve years of being Patrick’s widow, Kate is ready to move on or is she?

Harmel packs quite a punch from the beginning of this, at times, heart wrenching novel (my way of saying you may cry in parts). It seemed to be over quickly as the plot was filled with so much action and indecision for Kate. Once she starts to make her decisions they come quick and fast. The romance is fraught with suspense and it takes a while to know which way to root, or root at all.

Harmel's wild emotional ride is definitely worth the ride. Even though I gave this book a 4 ½ on my blog I am adding it to the calendar to my book club. I recommend this book highly and only dock ½ star as I think that Kate is a little too weak in the beginning of the novel. So, if you do not mind a little paranormal with some harsh reality both with personal loss and the Foster Care System of New York City spiced with dicey and the best romance ever, this is your book.

Bewitching the Enemy by Dawn Chartier

Bewitching the Enemy
Dawn Chartier

Rating and Recommendation

Rating: 4 ½ teacups

Recommendation: Yes

Book Club Worthy: Yes for Sci Fi Paranormal, Romance

Review

Love thy enemy!

This is a fantastic beginning to what I hope will be a phenomenal series following the remaining Morgeaux sisters. The main characters sweep you into the story right away. The sisters are adorable, even with their personality quirks, especially Storm, as they struggle with secrets kept from them their entire lives. Nathan the super-hot hero fights himself, fate, and his could be fatal attraction to Storm. Chartier even includes some super steamy, toe curling, and romantic sex for us.

While the sisters try to learn these secrets to save the lives of their mother and themselves, Storm engages in her own private battle with Nathan. Drawn into more and more secrets and mysteries yet to unveil, this novel is a page turner I could not put down. Sci Fi Paranormal types if you like yours with some hot romance thrown into the mix, then come and get it!

Review

I was caught from the first page. It was a delightful quick read with some interesting openings for plot twists and turns. Mia and Lucas are extremely likable, even amid their brewing troubles. Oh, did I mention the cliffhanger...

As always, no spoiler here (this is where the book comes in), but it is suspenseful and who knows where Mia and Lucas are    led.

I hope you realize by now, if you are into Sci Fi, Romance, Paranormal and like and exciting cliffhanger, Ms. Woods is writing for you.

I am off to purchase True Alpha 2 as the kettle heats up.
